How Food Affects Your Mood with Shawn Nisbet

Our overall mood can be negatively affected by skipping meals, cutting out entire food groups, eating too many refined carbohydrates. These can all cause low energy, mood swings and irritability.
When feeling down you may crave junk food, and high calorie foods like cookies and ice cream to feel happier in the moment – but this sugar rush could cause you to feel sadder in the long term.
Wholesome food choices will not only boost your mood they will also improve your overall health, weight, wellness, and happiness in many other ways. Healthier food choices can positively affect everything above and certain foods have been shown to improve overall brain health.
This workshop is for parents or caregivers of children or adults with a developmental disability.
